Hi, I'm Coach Mary!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life rarely unfolds in a straight line, and that’s where the beauty, the blind spots, and the eventual breakthrough often live. My own journey has taken unexpected turns, layered seasons, and meaningful pivots, all of which shape the way I show up today–– curious and deeply committed to the people I serve.
For more than 25 years, I built a dynamic dual-career path, blending work in complex corporate environments supporting C-suite Executives, which supported my creative journey in the performing arts as a SAG/AFTRA actor.
This unique experience shaped how I show up in the
world today: with the ability to listen beneath the surface, read the subtext, communicate with clarity, and navigate high-stakes situations with both grace and what I like to call a bit of Jack Russell Terrier tenacity.

My Story
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life rarely unfolds in a straight line, and that’s where the beauty, the blind spots, and the eventual breakthrough often live. My own journey has taken unexpected turns, layered seasons, and meaningful pivots, all of which shape the way I show up today—curious and deeply committed to the people I serve.
Professional Background
For more than 25 years, I built a dynamic dual-career path, blending work in complex corporate environments supporting C-suite Executives, which supported my creative journey in the performing arts as a SAG/AFTRA actor. This unique experience shaped how I show up in the world today: with the ability to listen beneath the surface, read the subtext, communicate with clarity, and navigate high-stakes situations with both grace and what I like to call a bit of Jack Russell Terrier tenacity.
The Turning Point
But like many of the people I now work with, I reached a moment on my own trajectory where success on paper no longer felt fully aligned in practice.
That turning point led to an intentional shift—one that required risk, deep reflection, and a willingness to redefine what purpose truly meant for my life. It was in that space that I stepped fully into walking alongside others as they navigate their own life course corrections, and what identity means in the messy middle of all that transition, one deep and powerful conversation at a time.
My Approach
Today, I lead a full-time coaching practice where I partner with folks across a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and seasons of life. My approach is deeply personal and highly relational. I don’t believe in formulas or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I create space for honest exploration—helping clients uncover blind spots, reconnect the core, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and ‘now’ purpose.
Whether the challenge shows up around the boardroom table or the dining room table, my work centers on helping people live and lead with fuller identity, greater authenticity, effectiveness, and alignment.
Credentials
My academic background includes a B.A. in German Linguistics and Broadcast Journalism, along with certifications in theology and Bible studies. I’m a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC), an ICF Mentor Coach, an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), and a Core Transitions & Dynamics Specialist (CTDS).
Personal & Mission
I live in the Midwest and stay actively engaged in my community through my local church and philanthropic work. At the heart of everything I do is the desire to help people live and create Kingdom impact with a greater Christ-centered identity, more accessible clarity, courage, and purpose, exactly where they find themselves on their journey … today.
Blessings,
Mary L. Holmström
