A story of healing, wholeness, maturity, and becoming.

Most people assume that reaching the “next level” is all about the spotlight. The stage. The accolades. The cameras. But the truth—my truth—is that elevation has never come through applause. It came through breaking, wilderness seasons, betrayal, homelessness, and the quiet places where God stripped me down to rebuild me from the inside out.
For years, people saw the films, the ministry, the press, the platforms, the conferences, the global features, the beauty industry success. They saw the polished version—the makeup, the stage lights, the smiling photos, the magazine covers. But what they didn’t see was the war behind all of it.
They didn’t see the teenage girl trying to find identity. They didn’t see the woman married to a pastor whose hidden life shattered her world. They didn’t see the prophet who cried on her floor, asking God why betrayal had knocked the wind out of her. They didn’t see the season of homelessness where the Lord gave her a book—A Call to the Wilderness—as oil pressed from her suffering.
People celebrate the public victories but have no idea how many private graves you had to climb out of.
And this is where the truth about the “next level” must be told: You cannot rise externally until God heals you internally.
Trauma, the Brain, and Survival Mode
Trauma is not just emotional—it is biological. Neuroscience shows how trauma reshapes the brain. The amygdala becomes hyperactive, keeping you in survival mode, while the prefrontal cortex—the part of the brain that manages decisions, clarity, and self-control—weakens (When fear strikes the heart: Post-traumatic stress disorder - Harvard Health, 2022). That means even the strongest, most gifted, most anointed people can sabotage themselves without ever knowing why.
I lived that. I preached through pain. I taught students while bleeding internally. I showed up on set, in classrooms, in pulpits, in meetings—as a woman carrying unseen wounds the world didn’t know were there.
Success couldn’t stop the suffering. Accomplishments couldn’t silence the trauma. Recognition couldn’t restore the parts of me that were still fractured.
And that’s where many high achievers get trapped: they think the next win will heal them. But dopamine fades. Applause fades. Photos disappear into the feed. Without inner work, the higher you go, the harder you fall (Trauma - APA, 2023).
What saved me wasn’t a stage. It was Jesus. It was deliverance. It was the wilderness. It was inner healing, emotional maturity, and prophetic alignment.
Wholeness isn’t perfection. It’s truth. It’s facing your story rather than running from it. Psychology tells us that emotionally mature individuals have better relationships, more joy, and stronger long-term outcomes (Emotional Intelligence | Psychology Today,2022). But life taught me that emotional maturity is birthed through surrender.
Boundaries, Maturity, and Spiritual Alignment
My next level began when I stopped asking God to change my circumstances—and started asking Him to change me.
I learned to set boundaries. I learned to hear God more clearly. I learned to stop rescuing people who were comfortable in dysfunction. I learned to honor the call even when it cost me comfort.
God taught me that you cannot be whole until you stop apologizing for becoming.

The steps toward the next level are not glamorous. They aren’t Instagrammable. They are deep, intimate, transformative:
1. Self-Reflection
I journaled. I prayed. I wept. I sat with the Lord until He showed me not just my pain, but my patterns.
2. Therapeutic & Spiritual Support
Therapy helped me understand my brain. Prayer helped me understand my spirit. Together, they exposed the roots I didn’t know I had.
3. Spiritual Alignment
Every elevation required consecration. Every assignment required a new surrender. Acts says, “In Him we live, and move, and have our being.” I learned that nothing—nothing—works outside of that truth.
4. Boundaries & Discernment
Some connections couldn’t go with me. Some rooms were too small for my healing. Some people loved my broken version but feared my whole one.
5. Continuous Becoming
Books, training, worship, mentorship, and the still, small voice of God shaped the woman I am today: The Prophet. The Teacher. The Visionary. The Healed One.
I stand today not because life was easy—but because I stopped letting pain lead me. My wilderness didn’t break me—it birthed me. Every testimony, every platform, every publication, every conference, every film appearance, every moment of favor stands on a foundation of healing and maturity.
The next level wasn’t a destination. It was a rebirth. A metamorphosis. A divine recalibration.
And that is the hidden blueprint most people miss: Elevation without healing is collapse waiting to happen. But elevation built on wholeness is unshakeable.
Your next level isn’t about becoming bigger. It’s about becoming whole.
Success might open doors, but only wholeness can keep you there. Healing might cost you, but unhealed wounds will cost you more. And emotional maturity—hard-earned, spirit-led maturity—is the true currency of destiny.
Do the inner work. Let God break what needs to be broken. Let Him rebuild what needs to stand.
Because when inner healing becomes your foundation, every external victory will carry weight, longevity, and purpose.
Your next level awaits—but only the healed version of you can walk into it.
