I’m stepping into 2026 with a quieter intention: becoming a better listener. Not the kind who listens while planning a response, but the kind who stays present without an agenda. I’m realizing how often my desire to help, encourage, or offer wisdom gets in the way of truly hearing someone’s heart. Scripture calls us to be quick to listen and slow to speak, and I’m learning how countercultural that really is.
